You'll find this tiny island nation as robust in its financial muscle as it is in tourist delights. But don’t go sporting pinstripes around this tropical trade mecca, because after setting up a few offshore ventures, it's off to one of the Cayman beaches for a relaxing corporate retreat.
And Seven Mile Beach is where you’ll find most of your yuppie compatriots. While poor workaholics slog it out up North battling February storms, you’ll loll away your financial cares in warm crystal waters of the Caribbean. And if that doesn't work, you can always cut a few side deals, because this Cayman beach packs in the financial types from all around the globe.
Need a private place to close a big deal? Head for Smith’s Cove south of George Town where you can run that secret board meeting on a shady picnic table. Here, the sharks circulate outside the reef, not on shore. Best get there early though because after lunch there's usually a local take-over. Or try Cemetery Beach for a more laid back venue - no pun intended - unless of course, you've absconded with the corporate coffers.
Still have those corporate raiders hot on your heels? Then grab a ferry over to Cayman Kai, an upscale residential area on the north side of Cayman with endless miles of white sand beaches. Here you can blend in with the 'sun and fun' crowd at Rum Point or slip on to Water Cay for a more secure hideaway.
Those pesky financial pirates still after you? Toss that cell phone in the bay and hop a local flight to Cayman Brac or Little Cayman for an off-the-map refuge. The Cayman beaches here are private so you can relax anonymously, or you can charter a boat across to secluded Owen Island for the ultimate ‘I am master of the Universe‘ experience.

| Let's keep it safe out there! Because ocean conditions change daily, follow these rules: (1) Always check with 'locals' about hazards before entering the water, (2) Obey all 'warning flags', (3) Swim inside 'safety areas' provided, (4) Never swim alone, and (5) Never swim far out. Finally, when in doubt, don't go in. | |||||||
