The table data is sorted into several categories. Best Season:Best Season indicates the time of the year when it is best to visit this area. Type of beach includes: 'Remote' = not often visited or not easy to get to, 'Private' = belongs to a local entity or the resort indicated, 'Peaceful' = few if any people present, 'Relaxed' = people may be present but not active, 'Active' = busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Waves potential includes: 'Small', 'Medium' and 'Large'. Please note that it is impossible to accurately predict wave size without knowing current weather conditions. The data only shows what may potentially occur during the months indicated (Best Season). REGARDLESS of potential wave size for an area or season, one should ALWAYS observe warning markers on the shore and check current swimming conditions and water hazards with locals BEFORE venturing into the water. Water quality includes: 'Fair', 'Good', 'Excellent', and 'Crystal'. Data represents what is typical for the months indicated. As water quality is a function of the weather and location, storms can reduce water visibilty to near zero in any area. Sand types include from roughest to softest: 'Rocks', 'Coral Bits', 'Shells', 'Pebbles', 'Mixed', 'Coarse', 'Black', 'Gray', 'Fine' and 'White'. Note: 'Mixed' indicates significant amounts of rocks, pebbles, corals or shells mixed into the sand, not just a few fragments scattered about. Swimsuits include 'Required' = must wear both bottoms and (for women) tops, 'Top-Op' = tops optional, 'Suit-Op' = swimsuits optional, and 'Zone' where beach areas are divided between clothes lovers and nature lovers.
